They Shut Her Down: Remedy is Gone

Well the government is making one promise come true.

All the dispensaries in the city are closed. MY dispensary is closed.  Bastards.

I only found out because I was looking for a cookie from my local. I was soon to find out that wasn't going to happen. After my shear disappointment and screaming on the sidewalk, I digressed into a more civilized person.

From Remedy I pondered going to Canadian Tire, which if you know the neighborhood you'll understand it's a very short walk. I walked into the Canadian Tire store only to turn around and walk out. It was jammed in there and I wan't in the mood.

From there, I went to Shopper's Drug Mart, hoping to find a notebook or something reasonably like it to take to work on Tuesday so I have something to write on. Walked through the madhouse they call the Superstore on Quinpool and arrived at Shopper's unscathed yet bothered from the crowds.

I found what I was looking for in Shopper's. I got a 300 page notebook. That should do it for the first day.

I am so upset that Remedy is gone. It was one of the greatest conveniences of living where I live. I will miss it and the staff. I sincerely hope the government of Nova Scotia knows the standards have been set in Halifax, so they better be able to live up to them.

Weed Review #1: Super Mario

Super Mario is an awesome weed for an awesome price. I get it from Remedy on Quinpool Road in Halifax.

When I first started buying it I was amazed at how low the price was at a mere ten bucks a gram.

The first time I tried it, I ordered three grams of the Sativa and made out of the adventure feeling somewhat prosperous. I was't expecting great things from it because it was, in my mind, a discount weed, so a good buzz would be all to expect.

But it wasn't like that at all. Super Mari really does it for me.

I started to get a bit into edibles for the body buzz. It's quite amazing what a cookie can do for you after a hard day at work. Yum.

So I'm already impressed that Super Mario is relatively inexpensive. Can you imaging the excitement I felt when I went into Remedy one day and found Super Mario for six dollars a gram! I was very excited. It was like Christmas had come early.

Needless to say, my weed budget went much further that week. Instead of four grams I was able to get seven. Not sure how that works out mathematically, but it worked out perfectly for the  amount of money I had on me at the time.

I must say that out of all the dispensaries I have been in, Remedy on Quinpool is definitely the friendliest and has the largest selection. Now lets see if the government will leave well enough alone and let them stay open after legalization of marijuana happens on October 17 in Canada... I certainly hope so.

NOVA SCOTIA MARIJUANA LAWS: FACTS

Just in case you were wondering.

WARNING: STUPID SHIT

Can you guess how old I am by my voice?

I speak to people on the phone every day, and I have made up a little game of who's who from the clients that I answer for.

When I ask them how old they are, I always hold up a little placard in my mind with their age written on it. Once they tell me, I sing songs of celebration or defeat. After all, I can't be right all the time.

My hatred of the word "correct" continues to grow and grow. People use it way too much to try and sound more official. A simple "yes" or "no" will do.

Just A Day Off

SEPT 20, 2018

Sitting here relaxed and alone, listening to Queen through someone else's ear.

If you haven't heard it, listen to Five's version of "We Will Rock You" on YouTube. I really like it a lot. But then, I've been criticized on more than one occasion about my taste in music.

Currently, I am listening to N'Sync "I Want You Back" and I'm loving it. Not going to apologize for it either. Justin Timberlake rocks.

I've continued with my quest of finding the perfect Sativa, and it keeps bringing me back to the same thing. Super Mario. I love it, it's economical and it gets me really buzzed.

I'm spending my days off from the trenches of the call centre that I work at immersed in solid tunes and good weed. My brain is thanking me.

I questioned my dispensary staff person when she checked my I.D. the other day.

"Will you be closing after the Government opens it's doors?" I said.

And she responded "Every day we are here we are illegal and face huge fines if they choose to charge us....we can't afford to keep the location open if we're only selling pipes."

Kinda sad really. The government is putting some really cool peeps out of work. But they will prevail. Hopefully they all fall into cushy government jobs - selling weed.
